THE BLOOD COVENANT AND THE BODY OF CHRIST

The Table of Shewbread

Heavenly Father, I thank you for the blood covenant that I have with the Lord Jesus and with the Body of Christ, (Rom. 12:5). Lord Jesus, you are the bread of life and the word of God, (John 1:1). You are the only one that can take the scroll and break its seven seals (Revelation 5:5). I thank you for the fellowship I have with you and the Body of Christ. Just as the priests ate together at the Table of Shewbread, a covenant of fellowship and unity with one another and with God, I also eat of your flesh and drink of your blood as a reminder of your covenant with me. As often as I eat it, I do this in remembrance of you. All that is in you is now in me, Lord Jesus. The Blood Covenant is the highest level of covenant. Let it be known and written that I am forever yours through this covenant. I pray that your death on the cross will never be in vain in my life.

I thank you for the fellowship I have with my brothers and sisters in the Body of Christ through communion. I know that the Body of Christ has a voice in heaven. I pray that I will stay united with my brothers and sisters in the Lord. I pray that I will walk in unity with them, and not allow any root of hatred, anger, bitterness, grumbling, or complaining against any of them. Your word says, “touch not my anointed one and do my prophets no harm” (Psalm 105:15). Lord, I ask that your perfect will be done in my life and that your will be my will. Help me to seek your Kingdom first in all that I do.
